inspirations

What has been is what will be, and what has been done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun.
- Ecclesiastes 1:9
I find such comfort in this thought. On the PBS show "A Chef's Life", Vivian Howard voices her inability to read cookbooks anymore for fear that she would unintentionally steal something from another chef. That's a totally legitimate concern for someone with a restaurant, who's job it is to stay current and innovative in the world of food. I get it. But since I'm at home, majority of the time with four people under the age of 5, I need inspiration from the outside world- otherwise, we'd eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and macaroni and cheese all day, every day. Here is a collection of inspirations we use in the Chancey kitchen.
